Chiang Mai

At over 700 years of age, the city of Chiang Mai has a remarkable capacity for modernization. Over 300 Buddhist temples can be found alongside boutique hotels, shops, and restaurants. For many Thai people, this is the city of greatest cultural importance. Aside from being the capital of the northern province of Chiang Mai, it was once the capital of the Kingdom of Lanna. That tradition is seen today in the food of Chiang Mai, as well as their many festivals.

Lexia students will use their growing Thai language skills to immerse themselves in the city that is at times both ancient and incredibly modern.
