Colombo
Colombo is the largest city and capital of the beautiful Southeast Asian country Sri Lanka. It's natural harbor has made it a trade hub between the East and West for over 2000 years. Before its independence, Colombo was ruled by the Portuguese, Dutch, and British. Throughout each era there was consistent trade with the Indians, Greek, Persians, Romans, Arabs, and Chinese, which contributed to the culturally diverse population that exists today. Located on the West coast of the Island, Colombo is fairly temperate climate for a tropical monsoon region. Colombo is full of important historical landmarks, beautiful religious sights, and rich cultural activity.
